If you wish to create a website, you need 2 things - a domain name and a hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual website address which you type in a browser to reach a website, while the hosting space is where your site data is going to be. These are 2 very closely connected, yet separate services, even though many people believe that registering the domain is enough. Much like the disk space and the monthly traffic features which a given website hosting plan offers, there are a certain number of registered domain names that you can include as hosted i.e. you can have the web content for them in some account even when the domains are in fact registered using a different provider. In technical terms, it does not matter if a domain name is registered and hosted using the same company or is registered with one company and pointed to another one - in either case your websites will function in exactly the same way.
Hosted Domains in Cloud Hosting
The cloud hosting plans that we provide allow you to host a different number of domain names. In this way, you can select what plan to acquire and how much to spend based on your requirements. If you decide to host more domain addresses in the future than the number the current package permits you to, you can effortlessly upgrade the entire plan or keep the same one and only add more slots for hosted domains. If you want to employ the registration services of some other company, you'll be able to see the name servers that you have to set for your domains so as to point them to our cloud platform in the Hosted Domains section of the Control Panel on our end. If you want to have everything in one spot, however, there is no limit on the amount of domain names which you can register/transfer within your account no matter the hosting plan that you have selected. Then you can decide if you'll host them or you will forward them to other existing domains.
